Our rate for space is $2.50 per square foot paid on a monthly basis. Below are various space sizes and prices.
8' X 11' = 88sq.ft. x 2.50 = $220 per month
9 ' X 11' = 99sq.ft x 2.50 =$247.50 per month
10' X 11' = 110sq.ft. x 2.50 = $275 per month
11' X 11' = 121sq.ft x 2.50 = $302.50 per month
12 X 11' = 132sq.ft. x 2.50 = $330 per month
Glass Display Case = $70 per month. Two or more glass display
cases = $50 each per month
The space rental lease is a six month contract with a deposit equal to one month's
rent. Rent is due on the 1st day of each month. A late fee of $25 is applicable
if payment is not received by the 10th day of the month. Electricity for lighting
within the space is included within the monthly rental fee.
Charges to Dealers:
The mall applies an advertising fee of 3% of dealer net sales. This fee is applied
to ads in Antique papers, regular news papers, radio and television spots, direct
mailers, Featherstone Square flyers, etc.
Additional charges: Cash payment by customers incur no additional charges. Check
payments by customers will be electronically approved and guaranteed. The dealer
will be charged 2.5% of the net sale for customer check payments. Credit card
payments by customers are charged a service fee of 5%. Please keep these various
fees in mind when pricing merchandise and quoting special discounts. Taxes will
be collected on each taxable sale and Featherstone Square Antique Mall will
assume responsibility for remitting Maryland state sales tax.
Payments to Dealers:
Dealer checks for sale of merchandise will be issued twice a month, on the 5th
and on the 20th of the month unless these days fall on holidays. Accounting
sales periods are from the 1st to the 15th of the month and the 16th to the
last day of the month.
Mall Guidelines:
Featherstone Antique Mall management works to maintain a desirable standard
for merchandise consisting of primarily antique and collectibles for sale within
the mall. We ask dealers to maintain a minimum ratio of 80% antiques and collectibles.
We ask that no more than 20% of merchandise consist of newer items within each
space rented. We also ask dealers to clearly mark items that are not antiques
or those that are new or reproductions.
License Requirements: All dealers must obtain an Anne Arundel County Traders License to comply with state law. Call the AA County Clerk of Circuit Court (410) 222-1434. This is a requirement for renting space in the mall.
